New Director On-Board

Peter Ellis is joining the board at Smith & Ouzman as director of finance with responsibility for finance, HR and IT. Peter, who has been with the company for two years, was previously divisional director.

According to Chris Smith, chairman of Smith & Ouzman, “We are delighted that Peter is joining the board. He will become the only non-family member on the board making this a pivotal role. Peter’s management and input throughout Smith & Ouzman is well respected. In the two years he has been with us we have filed the strongest ever accounts, and both our HR and IT departments have strengthened and grown under his leadership and guidance.”

Development within the IT department in particular has seen Smith & Ouzman’s dedicated team grow in numbers in the past two years. Several new products and services have also been developed this year, including a completely updated management information system, telephone registration services. We have also worked closely with customers to offer web-based ordering and information systems.

Before joining Smith & Ouzman in 2005, Peter held posts at the University of Sussex, B.O.C. and GlaxoSmithKline.
