Reactive ink

Aquableed Inks are a water based ink that will alter by changing colour, “bleeding” or smudging a clear and strong colour when smudged with a wet finger.

Aquafuge Inks are a water based ink that will alter by changing colour, “bleeding” or disappearing when in contact with any water based chemicals.

Solvent Sensitive Inks are usually used as a background to a security document. If any part of the document is then tampered with using solvent-based substances the image will either distort or disappear and staining will appear.

Combination Inks mean that the attributes of Aquafuge, Secondary Fluorescence and Solvent Sensitivity can be combined in one product and can be matched to most colours.

Thermochromic Reactive Security Inks respond to different levels of heat, typically close to normal body temperature so that authentication can take place by the simple touch by a human hand. The ink changes colour at a certain temperature, and when the ink cools again returns to its original colour. The most effective colours to use are pink going invisible and purple going blue. These react at each 25c or 27c.
