Security Feature

A potent combination of overt and covert security devices creates a well-protected and strong document design. These include complex micro-printing techniques, anti-copy features and reactive inks to authenticate and identify documents.

Smith & Ouzman also produces its own unique watermark, especially useful where the cost of a bespoke watermark can’t be justified or delivery time is short.

A combination of several of these security features, plus personalisation and a photograph on some documents, maximises the protection against counterfeiting (the complete reproduction of a document to imitate a genuine document) and forgery (the alteration of a genuine document to change its value or ownership).
